After studies in Copenhagen, he was a member of the Royal Opera there from 1943 to 1975. Originally a comprimario (David,
Pedrillo), he developed to Don Ottavio, Hoffmann, Cavaradossi, and further to Erik, Calaf or Radamès. Guest appearances in Oslo,
Stockholm, Zürich and Stuttgart.
Between 1978 and 1999, he had a second career as a movie and TV series actor in Denmark. In the 1994/95 season, he was back to
the Royal Opera Copenhagen to sing Altoum.
