Antonio Cucuccio was born in Catania. He had his career in the late 1960s and in the 1970s, at medium-sized Italian
theaters; neither a splendid nor, it would seem, a very long career, but at his native Catania, he was well-known and very
well-liked. He must have been a very nice person; a voice teacher after quitting the stage, he taught poor young people in
whose talent he believed (like the baritone Giovanni Di Mare) for free. Other than that, he sang Sicilian folk music with a
group called "Voce dell'Etna" into the 1990s. He died in June 2021.
