Simon Edwardsen

Edwardsen studied with Poul Bang in Copenhagen (1915-19).

He made his debut at the Oslo Opéra Comique in 1919.

In 1927, he sang at the SRO in Stockholm as José.

He sang at the: Stockholm SRO (1927-50), Helsinki FNO (1953-54), Reyjavik Icelandic Opera (1951-55), Göteborg Stora (1925-27), Stockholm Riksteater (1960-61), ...

He was also a stage director/producer at the Stockholm SRO and the Göteborg Stora.

His repertory included Tamino, Ubma (Arnljot), Pedrillo, Monostatos, Gösta Berling (I cavalieri di Ekebù), Mime, Loge, ...

He recorded for Columbia (Oslo), and HMV (including Gösta Berling's aria).
