Born in Berjozovka on the outskirts of Krasnojarsk, into a Ukrainian family.
He studied with Pavlo Karmaljuk at the Lviv conservatory, and got further training at La Scala in Milan.
He had a long career as a leading tenor of the Kiev opera house. In 2005, he started to teach choir singing at the Kiev National
University of Culture and Arts.
