Mikhail Davidoff

The transliteration "Davidoff" is his own; his Russian name is Давыдов, and thus identical with Aleksandr Davydov.

Born 1 February 1960 in Moscow, where he also studied. At the Bolshoj from 1991 to 1994; foreign debut in 1994 at the Arena di Verona, and after that, mostly in Western Europe, primarily in Essen, where he was a member of the troupe from 1999 to 2007. Other than that, he sang in places like Palm Beach, Helsinki, Wiesbaden or Lucerne, but later also in Hamburg, Dresden, Washington, Geneva, Antwerp or at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Last career news are from 2008; after that, he sang self-composed pop songs to his own guitar accompaniment.
