José Mossesgeld-Santiago

The first Filipino who ever sang at La Scala (1932). For his career in Italy, North and South America, he often used the stage name José Santiago-Font. What is unusual is that he sang bass roles on stage (regularly Sparafucile, for instance), but recorded as a baritone!
