I wish to thank Alessandro Sciocchetti for the recording. Turrini studied voice in Milano with Alfredo Cecchi. Beyond the places evident from the below repertory list, he sang in London (1958 Drury Lane as Alvaro; 1958 and 1959 Covent Garden as Radames), in Brasil, Argentina, Egypt, Switzerland and Iran, and he returned to La Scala in 1956 as Dick Johnson.
