Enrico Trentini

Enrico Trentini singsAida: Già i sacerdoti adunansi, with Rosita Pagani
Trentini's recordings are rare indeed, and the only document of his voice that I could find has been digitized not via line-in but via microphone, by an obviously asthmatic Youtube user, whom you hear breathe all the time... If anyone comes up with a better transcription, I'd be glad to substitute the file!

He was born into a very poor family and was forced to work so as to pay for his singing lessons, which he started very young. He made his debut in 1908 at the Sociale in Crevalcore in Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci. His career developed mostly in minor houses and came to a temporary halt during the First World War.
