Emmanuel Lafarge

After studies at the Paris Conservatory, Lafarge made his debut in 1889 at the opera of Rouen.

Season 1890/91: The other tenors were Dupeyron, Delmas, Isouar, Fromant, Stéphane, Gillon. On 12 January 1891, he sang Siegfried with Bouvet, Isouard, Badiali, Verin, Mlle Langlois, Mlle Morelli, Mlle Carrère for a total of 12 performances.
Season 1891/92: The other tenors were Dupeyron, Leprestre, Isouar, St&eacue;phane, Barbary-Gillon./

In 1892, he toured the USA with the Mauge Management Company. The company included: Messrs. Raynaud, Gluck, Contellier, Chauvrau, Dethurens, Malzac, Hourdin, Darval and Mmes. Schwyer-Lematte, Jau Boyer, Monnier, Bondues, Lita, Nazat, Urbain, Lea, Santi.

Next, he sang in Lyon, and then only as a guest.

Holland

's-Gravenhage, Koninklijke Schouwburg, Samson et Dalila from 8 December 1894 (sharing with Renault, who sang the premiere, and Selrack) with Chais, Faber, Talazac, De Bock, Azéma, Augier-Diany, Elvéda Boyer and Joseph Mertens

During the 1894/95 season, he sang Sigurd and Samson et Dalila at La Scala.

Sigurd, on 26 December 1894 with Adini, Dassi, Lorrain, Lublovska, Riera, Vallier for a total of 7 perfomances

Pompeo Cambiasi describes him as buono.

Samson et Dalila, on 17 January 1895 with Lorrain, Riera, Vidal for a total of 15 performances

Pompeo Cambiasi describes his performance as buonissimo.

On 31 July 1896, he made his debut at the Paris Opéra as Siegmund, then he sang Samson.

He had a successful career in the French provinces, mainly in the Wagnerian repertoire (Tristan, Siegfried).
