Marius Gilion
1874 Marseille (?) – 24 November 1914 Marseille
Gilion made his debut in Marseille in October 1900 as Arnold with Viviand and Vallier.
During the Carnival season 1901/02, he sang Raoul in Modena.
Raoul and Arnold were his main roles.

Gilion was a good French tenor. I heard him in Warsaw as Arnold and Éléazar.
Arnold has a very difficult tessitura and Gilion was one of the few tenors at that time
who not only sang the final aria without cuts but also repeated it.

It was reported that he was killed during the First World War, but that seems to be wrong.
