Pierre Fleta

He was the son of Miguel Fleta and French soprano Luisa Pierrick (real name Marie-Louise Pierre-Clerc). He was born in Villefranche-sur-Mer on 4 July 1925, and after his parents had separated, he was raised by his mother, so even if he is sometimes counted as a Spanish tenor (after his father's nationality), he was in reality French. Another confusion pretty widespread on the internet is with an obvious namesake who must have been born in Trieste in 1920 and died near Barcelona in 2005. This is NOT the tenor Pierre Fleta, who died in Paris on 16 October 2010.
