He made his debut at the Opéra-Comique on October 22, 1911 in Le voile du bonheur as Tou-Fou. He also took part in the world premiere of Julien as un Bûcheron/un Bohème/un Camarade on June 4, 1913. At the Opéra-Comique, he also appeared in le Barbier de Séville (Almaviva), Carmen (don José), Fortunio (Fortunio), Lakmé (Gérald), Louise (le Noctambule), Mignon (Wilhelm Meister), Mireille (Vincent), le Pardon de Ploërmel (Corentin), la Bohème (Rodolphe) and Werther (Werther).
