The above chronology covers the Belgian part of Bouet's career, but there must have been a French part to it, too: in 1952 and 1953, he sang a lot on the French radio; strangely, that's all I can find about Bouet's activity in France (strangely because he was French and obviously started his career there). In any case, his Belgian period must have been the peak of his career (in Ghent, he was part of the troupe of theater director Constant Meillander, the comparatively nondescript successor of legendary Vina Bovy and predecessor of equally legendary Karel Locufier).
