Stuart Skelton sings Die Walküre: Winterstürme wichen dem Wonnemond
In RA format
Skelton studied singing in Sydney and Cincinnati. From 1995, he had his first engagements in the USA (Cleveland, San Francisco), but it was a first prize at the Belvedere singers competition in Vienna in 1997 that got his career really going. Met, Vienna Staatsoper, Berlin Staatsoper, Teatro Real Madrid, Opéra Paris, La Scala, Zürich, Covent Garden, English National Opera, Hamburg, Dresden, the festivals in Lucerne, Bregenz, Salzburg, Edinburgh, Hongkong, Baden-Baden... the whole world seizes the opportunity if there's finally someone who sings Tristan, Florestan, Kaiser, Peter Grimes, Bacchus, Max, Rienzi, Erik, Lohengrin, Siegmund, Parsifal, German, Canio, Otello and so on without desaster.
