Gašper Dermota

1917–1969
Gašper Dermota was an engine fitter like almost everybody else in his family; he was the younger brother of Anton Dermota and Leo Cordes-Dermota. During after-work hours, he studied voice in Ljubljana, where he finally became a member of the local opera house, and where he spent his entire career. He died, together with his son, in a car accident.

His debut was in 1952, and his repertory included Duca, Nemorino, Edgardo, Lenskij, Jenik, Werther.
